LARA is the association of GARGANTUA’s
ADR and GARGANTUA ADP modules.
The ADR module allows you to read
handwritten information on forms or documents presenting
the same architecture. Its main goals are:
- automatic reading and capture of the information,
- transformation of all or part of the information
into an index set and transfer to GARGANTUA,
- transfer of the information as data set to other
applications...
The associated ADP module allows
document type recognition before ADR.

include different classifiers and recognition engines
to analyse the data at multiple levels: page, table,
cell, paragraph, image, line, word, character.
The objects are analysed individually but also
within their background. This technology is used
for OCR (printed characters), ICR (handwritten
letters and characters) and OMR (marks, circles...)
.
